The Sherlock rug is a dynamic patchwork of pattern, recalling tiled hallways, velvet smoking jackets, and foggy London days; it features hand-carved motifs articulated in dense high and low pile. With subtle chroma but high tonal contrast, its syncopated rhythms and geometric forms create a captivating visual texture. Selected areas are handcrafted with lustrous Tencel yarns, adding a soft sheen and enhancing the design with shifts in tone as the light changes.

Our Hand Tufted rugs are meticulously handcrafted on upright frames using a precise technique where yarn tufts are inserted and looped through a canvas backing with handheld tools. They feature a luxurious, densely packed pile that adds rich texture and lasting durability. The finishing process involves careful hand carving of each motif, creating crisp lines and varied pile heights that bring a sophisticated three-dimensional effect to the design.

Rug Care + Underlay

We advise customers purchase our Rug Underlay to prevent their rug from creasing and slipping, whether it is placed on a carpet or a hard surface.

An underlay also increases the longevity of a rug by cushioning it. It protects against transference of dark colours or fibres from the back of the rug onto light coloured flooring or carpet underneath.

All of our rugs and underlay are suitable for underfloor heating.
